Over the past year our team at Interact for Health has been taking stock to learn from the past and prepare for the future. It’s a great time for us to do such an assessment: We’re in the final year of our current strategic plan, we’re engaging stakeholders to help inform our next plan, and we can step back and examine the impact of COVID-19 on the health and social service agencies in the region.
One part of these efforts was a survey of our grantees, which was conducted in the spring of 2021. We partnered with the Center for Effective Philanthropy to learn how we’re doing relative to other grantmakers, which helped highlight our strengths and weaknesses. It was something that was overdue—we last engaged in a similar survey back in 2010.
Of the 77 grantees surveyed, 44 responded, a rate of 57%.
Grantees reported that Interact for Health rated higher than typical funders in the following areas:
