Rural Investment Strategy 2024

Because of our commitment to supporting positive change in our rural regions, Interact for Health is launching strategic investments to support community-driven change through intentional funding and collaboration with community members, leaders, and organizations within our rural regions. We seek to build and invest in authentic community relationships and community.

Rural Community Councils: Each rural region (Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky) will have a dedicated advisory council composed of community members and leaders. These councils will convene quarterly to guide grantmaking, training opportunities, and event coordination. Council members will serve on the council for 1 year.

Applications for Rural Community Councils are now open. Interested applicants who meet the following criteria are encouraged to apply:

  • Work or reside in one of the following counties:
    • Indiana (Dearborn, Franklin, Ripley, Switzerland, Ohio)
    • Ohio (Clermont, Brown, Adams, Clinton, Highland)'
    • Kentucky (Bracken, Gallatin, Grant, Pendleton)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to attend quarterly virtual meetings
  • Ability to review and score grants using an online platform
  • Commitment to improving the health and well-being of rural residents

Applications are due Friday, January 19 at 5 p.m. Apply here.

Additional investments will be announced in January 2024.
